BIBLE/BOOK/VIDEO STUDY |
LEADER: LAURIE BUTLER
Frequency: Weekly | Location: Zoom Online | Duration: 7 weeks
Let’s look at the
extraordinary life of Jesus Christ of Nazareth through the account in the
gospels. Starting with the historical landscape before his entrance into the
world, his miraculous birth, growing up, starting his ministry and calling his
first disciples. We will drive thru Israel with Dave Stotts as our guide and
teacher, stopping at places where Jesus traveled and taught. Grab your Bible,
and be prepared for an adventure into the history, archaeology, geography and
art surrounding the life of Jesus.

TUESDAY | 7:00-8:30PM | BOOK/VIDEO STUDY | LEADERS: MIKE GERHARD & DAN HELIX
Frequency: Weekly | Location: Zoom Online | Duration: 8 weeks
We will be going through the Pray Course video series by Pete Grieg, an eight week journey through the Lord's Prayer. While prayer is always a timely topic, with COVID-19, wildfires, unrest, and other current events, this topic is perhaps especially timely. This group is for everyone, from those just starting their spiritual journey to seasoned followers of Jesus. The video series topics include Adoration, Petition, Intercession, Unanswered Prayer, Contemplation, Listening, and Spiritual Warfare. We will have a time for social interaction, and a time of discussion after each video.

WORK: GROWING, THRIVING, SUCCEEDING
TUESDAY | 6:30-8:00PM | SPECIAL INTEREST | LEADER: MARIA BERTA
Frequency: Weekly | Location: Zoom Online | Duration: 5 Weeks
As a former HR Director with 25 years in the field, I would love to share my
experience with others. The purpose of this group is to help support and mentor
people around work/career issues. We will meet for 5 sessions via Zoom online.
Each week we will focus on a different topic. Some examples include how to
pivot to a new career, updating your resume, how to interview, coping with
difficult co-workers or bosses, and other work-related topics. I've mentored people
who need to elevate their skills, move to a new career, and go back to school
to learn a new field. I've also been involved in conflict resolution,
employee/employer disputes, harassment prevention, and all sorts of other
"sticky situations" and I am excited to help people in our community
by sharing my experience. I'd like to also remind people that we need to honor
all labor, that we are all equal in God's eyes, from janitor to CEO, and ask
the Lord to bless us in our work endeavors.
